Who doesn’t love an epic tale of New York grandeur? There’s no better way to feel those Great Gatsby vibes than with some lace, Louboutins, & great NYC views.
LOCATION: Glenmere Mansion; Gramercy Park Hotel
Hello Fall! Feeling inspired by the beautiful landscape of Glenmere Mansion in upstate New York & my garden views from the glamorous Gramercy Park Hotel, I decided to play dress up Great Gatsby style. I’m loving the California line For Love & Lemons. They make gorgeous lace pieces like the two-piece dress featured here. And of course, who doesn’t love a great pair of shoes from Christian Louboutin. Nothing says old world glamour like gold! Believe it or not, the Top Nics are also incredibly comfortable (and I’ve tried a lot of Louboutins). I hope Jay Gatsby would approve!
FYI The Great Gatsby is a MUST READ! The 1925 novel written by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald follows a cast of characters living in the fictional town of West Egg on prosperous Long Island in the summer of 1922. The story revolves around the young and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his quixotic passion and obsession for the beautiful former debutante Daisy Buchanan. The Great Gatsby explores themes of decadence, idealism, resistance to change, social upheaval, and excess, creating a portrait of the Jazz Age or the Roaring Twenties that has been described as a cautionary tale regarding the American Dream. One of my all-time-favorite classics.
