THE PRINCESS DIARIES Returns! New Book Alert!
Young Adult Author Meg Cabot has officially announced on her blog the summer line-up for the latest release of her books and it includes two new installments in her THE PRINCESS DIARIES series.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Meg “was hesitant” at first to return to THE PRINCESS DIARIES. The series has sold more than five million copies in the United States and was also made into two major motion pictures, each starring Anne Hathaway. Meg eventually decided to the latest books a shot because “[a] lot of the readers who grew up with THE PRINCESS DIARIES YA books are having kids of their own, and some are librarians or teachers, so the adult book is perfect for them.” To read more and get all the full details on both ROYAL WEDDING: Princess Diaries XI (the first ever adult installment of THE PRINCESS DIARIES) and FROM THE NOTEBOOKS OF A MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCESS (the first middle grade THE PRINCESS DIARIES novel), make sure to check out my full coverage on Examiner.com here.
So . . . are you excited for Meg’s new books? And what about the talk that FROM THE NOTEBOOKS OF A MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCESS will feature a character with a biracial background? Diversity in books is a good thing, right? Make sure to comment below and let me know what you think!
