Feeling a little spicy? Santa Fe, New Mexico is the perfect weekend get-away!

TABLE OF CONTENTS: Book: The Rancho de Chimayo Cookbook: The Traditional Cooking of New Mexico, Cheryl Jamison; vintage feather cowboy hat: Kowboys; Wunder Under pant: Lululemon; Clemmie Watson emu cuffs & necklace: Chocolate + Cashmere; vintage ACME fringe cowboy boots: Tribe for the Masses

Looking for a perfect mix of spa, shop, & spicy foods? Santa Fe has it all. SF made a fabulous weekend get-away for me and my girl friends. Start by eating your way through the city. Our favorite pick of the weekend? Geronimo! It’s a must try if you like Southwestern food. For shopping, we loved Kowboys for their amazing selection of vintage cowboy boots and hats and Chocolate + Cashmere had THE best cashmeres. Bonus — they also carry Clemmie Watson jewelry. Famously worn by Kourtney Kardashian, I couldn’t resist trying (and buying!) some unique feather accessories. Finally, of course, I had to stop by the super quaint book store — Op.Cit. Books — because what trip is complete without a trip to the local bookstore? My friend shared a favorite travel tip with me: she buys a local cooking book every time she visits somewhere new! An excuse to buy more books? Twist my arm . . . right? If you can’t make it to Santa Fe, don’t despair. Check out my book suggestions below!

Books Set in New Mexico:

Tiger Eyes, Judy Blum

Sweet Evil, Wendy Higgins
