And that’s a wrap on Sundance 2023! 🎬
This was the first year I went mostly for film/author work (woo hoo!), but still had a blast with friends old and new. This festival is always such an amazing time and I really recommend all film lovers go at some point. Especially cool this year was that I got my first aura reading ever at the Chase Lounge. Not gonna lie, I was pretty nervous, but she told me I have a strong purple “manifestation” halo which was awesome 💜. I’m a big manifestation believer! Have you ever been to a film festival (or had your aura read, lol 😂)???

Sundance Day 1! 💥

It’s so beautiful but so cold here! 🥶 LOL! Having a great time meeting so many passionate storytellers, especially all the female filmmakers. At the #womeninfilm and #UTA panel, I heard inspiring talks by @susannafogel @marakeshfilm and #thembibanks about all the adversity and rejection they’ve had during their journeys (a message I relate to so well! If you read my dedication in SKI WEEKEND❄️, you know! 😭😂). My favorite takeaway was about helping and uplifting other women and finding your community. I’m so grateful for all of you that are in mine (and my dms & comments are always open to more)! ❤️

Happy first day of Sundance 🎥🎉!

So excited to be back sundancing for the first time since COVID. Reminiscing about all the good times & fun people from my last trip and can’t wait to see who we run into this year. This time I’ll be there working on some *exciting* SKI WEEKEND❄️ things, which makes it even more special. 💙💙💙 If you are around, gimme a holler!

Holiday Shenanigans photo dump 1!🎄🍾🎉
Hope everyone had a safe & healthy holiday weekend. So grateful to celebrate the season with this wild & crazy bunch that truly epitomizes the “modern family.” We’ve got 3+ generations of step parents/step kids/ ex wives & ex husbands and though it isn’t always easy with such a unique dynamic, we somehow seem to make it work! This year we were able to return a big Christmas Eve dinner and also @hilarydecesare ‘s tradition the day before of a boozy brunch at the famous @neimanmarcus SF Rotunda followed by the Nutcracker ballet. I grew up a huge theater geek so it was incredible to be back in those seats watching a show! 🩰 ❤️ (Fun fact I just learned this year: The Nutcracker was based off a German book 📖 and turned into a ballet by a Russian composer. It was originally NOT popular in Europe and didn’t take off until it came to the West where it blew up because it was a family-friendly show people could go to during the holidays. AND the first-ever performance in the West was right here in San Francisco where we go each year!)

🎄HOLIDAY BOOK GIFT EXCHANGE🕎
Anyone up for a fun book exchange for the holidays? We will be doing one this year in my Facebook book club THE BOOK NOOK! Basically, I’ll pair interested folks up with a gift exchange buddy and then you just send them either (1) one of your favorite books or (2) a book on their gift wish list. You can send via Amazon, BN, your favorite indie bookstore, or fine to send a used book from your own stack also. Goal is just to get to know someone else in the group and brighten their holiday with a new fun read. All are welcome and the book club itself is a lot of fun (we read very broadly—a different genre every month—to try to expand our reading tastes and also hold each other accountable to read each month).
