TABLE OF CONTENTS: Book: The Lovely Bones, Alice Sebold; One Teaspoon Distressed boyfriend jeans: Saks Fifth Avenue; Breast Cancer Awareness Reliance Cuff: Stella and Dot; Stackable rings: Stella and Dot; Aruba Blue nail polish: Essie

LOCATION: Manhattan! New York Fashion Week!

Looking for some great ways to up your fashion game? I just got back from New York Fashion Week and spotted some seriously fun and easy ways to update your fall wardrobe. Start with a bold nail color. Metallic dark colors like the Aruba Blue by Essie featured above are a great way to make any outfit pop. Then add a fun new piece of jewelry. I love stackable rings or a good statement cuff like those pictured above. Stella and Dot has some great options for to-die-for-prices. The best thing about the Reliance Cuff featured here is that during  Breast Cancer Awareness Month (until October 31st) Stella & Dot will donate 20% of the purchase price of the cuff to the Noreen Fraser Foundation, which is dedicated to research of women’s cancers. Finally, don’t forget to add an amazing fashion book to complete the outfit. Below are some of my all-time favorite fashion books.

Fabulous Fashion Books:

The Devil Wears Prada, Lauren Weisberger

A classic! A young woman is hired as a personal assistant to a powerful fashion magazine editor, a job that becomes nightmarish as she struggles to keep up with her boss’s grueling schedule and demeaning demands.

Confessions of a Shopaholic, Sophia Kinsella

The books follow protagonist Rebecca Bloomwood through her adventures in shopping and life. As of October 2014, there are seven books in the series.

Bergdorf Blondes, Plum Sykes

The book follows an unnamed young socialite living in New York as she interacts with her best friend Julie and tries to find a successful romantic relationship.

Violet on the Runway, Melissa Walker

Violet Greenfield’s life changes forever when a lady in giant Chanel shades tells her she could be IT, the next Kate Moss-but taller, and without the PR problems.   Tryst Models in New York City puts Violet on a plane and whisks her into the world of high-heeled boots and oversized sunglasses.

The One Hundred, Nina Garcia

Fashion guide to the 100 items every fashionable woman must own. My style bible!

Girl Boss, Sophia Armoruso

Epic memoir about how Nasty Gal CEO built her fashion empire from the ground up.
